Our Story

Haenu Skin didn't start as a business idea. It started as two people — a husband and wife — both frustrated with their skin and tired of products that overpromised and underdelivered.

Kevin dealt with years of cystic acne that left behind enlarged pores and post-acne scarring that no amount of foundation or spot treatment could fix. The kind of skin damage that makes you avoid mirrors and dread close-up photos.

His wife was fighting a different battle — melasma that darkened with every hour of sun exposure, rosacea that flared unpredictably, and skin so sensitive that half the products on the market were simply off-limits. Finding something that actually worked without triggering a reaction felt almost impossible.

Between the two of us, we'd tried everything. Prescriptions, dermatologist visits, trending products, drug store staples, and more "miracle" serums than we'd like to count.

What Finally Worked

What finally moved the needle for both of us was Korean skincare — specifically, a new wave of regenerative ingredients that Korean dermatologists had been developing for years before the rest of the world caught on.

PDRN changed how Kevin's post-acne skin looked and felt. Centella Asiatica and ceramide-focused formulas gave his wife's sensitive, rosacea-prone skin a stability it had never had. The right brightening ingredients started to make a real dent in the melasma.

Why We Built This

We started sourcing these products for ourselves. Then our friends wanted them. Then we realized there was no single place in the US doing this properly — curating the best of what K-beauty had to offer for people with real, specific skin concerns, without the noise of a thousand generic products.

So we built it.
